Announcing pipelines delegated deployments (SPN)
Power Platform has launched delegated deployments (preview) for pipelines, which allows makers to deploy their business solutions without needing elevated permissions in target environments. Delegated deployments run pipelines as service principals, ensuring developers of any skill level can request deployments without needing elevated permissions in target environments. Approvals are required for security reasons, whether automated or manual. This feature has been the top requested pipelines feature since the launch of pipelines preview last December. Additionally, Power Platform has introduced another pipelines extension with this update, allowing custom validation logic to run before solutions are exported from development environments.
