Sending reminders for parallel tasks in Power Automate


Power Automate users can add reminders to their approval flows to ensure tasks are not overlooked. This is especially useful for parallel approval tasks where different groups of users need to complete tasks simultaneously. To implement reminders, additional columns in SharePoint can be used to store task information, such as the task name and assigned approvers. A multiple lines of text column can be used to store the tasks and approvers in a specific format. After each task is completed, the approvers can be removed from the reminder column. A scheduled flow can then be created to send reminders to the remaining approvers based on the task assignment date and the stored task and approver information. By using this approach, only users with open tasks will receive notifications.
