How to add rich text HTML column to SP document library

You can create a rich text column in a SharePoint document library by using an HTTP request. Although the user interface no longer offers this option, you can still add a rich text column by extracting the XML schema of a Multiple lines of text column in any SharePoint library. Change the "RichText" value to "TRUE" and the "RichTextMode" value to "FullHtml" in the XML schema. Then, use the updated schema to create the column in the document library. This will allow you to format the information in the column using HTML. Rich text columns are not limited to SharePoint lists and can be added to document libraries as well.
