We are deprecating earlier versions of Visual Studio for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations development
Microsoft is deprecating earlier versions of Visual Studio for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations development. They will no longer ship or support Visual Studio extensions for these versions, and will only support Visual Studio 2022. The decision was made to concentrate development efforts on one platform and improve the cadence of bug fixes and new features. Visual Studio 2022 is built on a 64-bit framework, which removes restrictions and allows for better debugging. Users can seamlessly upgrade to the newest version of Visual Studio by downloading and installing it. Microsoft encourages users to provide feedback on this change and any other issues they encounter in their development work.
