Using Lead Scoring Qualification Functionality


Lead Scoring Qualification functionality in Dynamics 365 Marketing allows you to determine when a lead is considered "qualified" based on scoring models and points. However, the qualification process does not convert the lead into entities like Account, Contact, and Opportunity as it does in other Dynamics 365 modules. Instead, it changes the lead's status reason to "Marketing Qualified" and marks it as "Sales Ready." The option to change the status reason may cause confusion for users who are not aware of the qualification model. The "Sales Ready" option can be turned on or off and is used in the Lead-to-opportunity marketing sales process. Overall, the Lead Scoring Qualification functionality may not offer significant benefits to organizations without additional flows or processes to act on the automated changes.
