PCF: Extended work with linking in Dataset PCF Components
The author discusses their experience building PCF controls and the challenges they faced with linking and filtering data based on multiple levels of relationships. They found that the standard methods provided by Microsoft Learn were not sufficient for their needs. They discovered the "clear" and "removeLinkedEntity" methods of the "Linking" interface, which allowed them to dynamically remove linked entities from the dataset. They also found a way to perform linking from linked entities by using the "addLinkedEntity" method. The author provides code examples to demonstrate how they achieved this. However, they caution that their code may be considered unsupported.
