The Unified Development Environment is GA!
The Unified Development Environment (UDE) for Finance and Operations apps, also known as UDE, is now generally available for all customers. UDE is a powerful tool that combines the app development experience for Finance and Operations with the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. With UDE, features from Microsoft Dataverse and Finance and Operations are seamlessly managed in a single sign-on experience. The architecture of UDE has changed, with code editing and debugging happening on the user's device while the execution of code happens in the cloud. This new environment offers increased developer productivity and eliminates the need for managing cloud-hosted environments or running virtual hard disks (VHDs). UDE also integrates with various technologies, such as dual write, virtual entities, business events, and more. Additionally, UDE provides a continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) experience and improved data management capabilities.
