Microsoft Dataverse formula columns will soon replace calculated columns
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is deprecating calculated columns and recommending the use of formula columns for handling calculations in Dataverse columns. Calculated columns automate manual calculations used in business processes, while formula columns use the Power Fx language to handle calculations. Power Fx is a low-code language similar to Excel formulas and can be used across the Power Platform. Formula columns are now the preferred method for calculations in Dynamics 365.
