Merge functionality for Leads, Contacts, and Accounts in Dynamics 365 and Dataverse allows you to view merged details. However, there is no clear indicator on the 'Master' row that data has been merged from another row. This post discusses how to add a note in the timeline to show when a row has been merged into and what data has been updated from the deactivated row. The process involves creating an automated flow triggered by a Dataverse action. The flow retrieves the deactivated row and retrieves the data for the details of what was updated.
