Dynamics 365 Business Central: be careful on your upgrade code.

Partners have been asking about a message they receive from Dynamics 365 Business Central stating that the service update failed. This usually occurs when the update window set for the environment is too short to handle the partner's upgrade code. Partners sometimes create extensions for a new Business Central version that involve a full redesign of a complex solution, resulting in a lot of changes in the data structure. When the extension is uploaded into the production environment, the upgrade code can take a long time to execute and may run out of the update window. To avoid this, partners should test their upgrade code carefully and consider using the DataTransfer data type for large data operations during an upgrade.
