Dynamics 365 Business Central: support for multiple extensions to same target in the same app
The upcoming Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 1 release (v24) will include support for multiple extensions to the same target in the same application. This change allows for better separation of concerns in large apps. With this update, you can create multiple extension objects of the same target in your extension. For example, you can create two table extension objects for the Customer table in an extension. The fields and keys will be moved to the base table to prevent SQL-joins at runtime. This change is aimed at supporting separation of concerns in large apps and achieving better module separation.
