Business Documents – Part 9
Business Documents is a tool in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations that allows for the visualization of documents and reports. It uses the Electronic Reporting framework for data extraction and formatting. This article explores how to set a file name for a business document using Configurable Business Documents (CBD). The ER Format Designer allows you to define file names by selecting the main node, clicking on "Mapping," and editing the "File name" field. You can also use formulas, such as CONCATENATE, to generate dynamic file names based on variables like document type and timestamp. Once configured, the file name will automatically populate when the document is generated.
