Announcing General Availability of built-in Dataverse offline for canvas apps
Microsoft has announced the General Availability of built-in Dataverse offline for canvas apps on iOS, Android, and Windows devices. This feature allows apps to work with Dataverse data even without a network connection. The offline feature handles all the complexity, and developers can build apps with standard Power Fx formulas. The first time a user opens an app, all required data is downloaded to the device. There are options to optimize performance for different data sets, and offline apps work in an "offline first" approach. However, non-Dataverse connectors like SharePoint are not supported in offline-enabled apps. Developers can enable the canvas offline feature in the Power Apps Studio settings.
