Functions in Microsoft Dataverse
Microsoft has announced the creation and use of functions in Microsoft Dataverse. Functions use Power Fx to execute commands within Dataverse on the server-side. These functions will replace the Instant low-code plug-ins that are being deprioritized. To create a function, you add a new automation component called Function in the Maker Portal. You provide a display name, description, input/output parameters, and a Power Fx expression. Once the function is saved, various components are added to the solution. To test the function, you can create an unbound action in Power Automate and pass the required parameters.
