Calculation Groups in Power BI
Power BI, Microsoft's data analytical tool, has introduced a new feature called Calculation Groups. This feature allows for more complicated and personalized calculations within Power BI reports. To use Calculation Groups, the Semantic Model must be enabled in Power BI settings. Calculation Groups can be used to consolidate measures and achieve the same results as separate measures. The Calculation Group is part of the Semantic Model and can be accessed in the Model tab in Power BI Desktop. Calculation Items can be created within the Calculation Group with their own expressions. Calculation Groups offer advantages for organizing and managing complex calculations within reports, making Power BI reports more dynamic and responsive.
