SQL 4 CDS v7.4 has been released with access to data in the preview long-term retention feature, performance improvements, and bug fixes. The new version allows users to access any data in the long-term retention store by using the archive schema. The update also includes aggregate query improvements, join improvements, and an ADO.NET provider update. The minimum .NET version for the ADO.NET provider has increased to .NET 6. The update fixes various issues with joins and improves the readability of FetchXML. Users can now use the STRING_AGG function in their queries to combine strings from multiple records together.
