In the upcoming release of Business Central 2024 wave 2 (BC25), a Word add-in is being introduced. This add-in allows consultants and customers to perform actions in Word reports without writing any code. The add-in includes options to hide empty tables, hide empty table rows and columns, and hide fields if they are zero. To use the Word add-in, it needs to be downloaded from appsource. Once installed, an extra option will appear in the ribbon. The add-in provides more control over report layouts in Word without the need for developers or complex RDLC reporting. This is a great feature that gives consultants and customers more control over their reports.
