Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 2: new Search in List pages (but don’t abuse of it)
The Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 2 release introduces a new search capability for list pages. Users can now switch between the old "legacy" search and the new "modern" search. The new search provides better performance and more accurate results. The default search method can be controlled via Feature Management. The new "modern" search is planned to become the default behavior starting from Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 Wave 2 release. It is recommended to use filtering instead of relying too heavily on the search box for better performance. A future release may include the ability to disable the search box for certain list pages to improve performance.
