Thoughts about the Power Platform news from Microsoft Build 2023
Microsoft Build 2023 is focusing on AI and co-pilot technology. The Power Platform announcements include the release of Fabric, which combines Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory into one platform. Power BI is also getting a Copilot feature that allows users to gain insights and describe the insights they need. Power Automate Cloud Flow is getting a Copilot inside the designer to improve productivity. The Dataverse Accelerator is a new tool that allows low-code developers to write logic on the table level. Power Virtual Agents now have a new authoring experience and generative answers that can pull data from multiple sources. Microsoft is also working on Generative Actions for Power Virtual Agents, which allows the bot to decide which action to use.
