Dynamics 365 Business Central: introducing the Page Scripting tool

Playwright is an open-source automation library for browser testing and web scraping developed by Microsoft. Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 1 release introduces a Page Scripting tool, which allows users to easily record and replay user acceptance tests directly in the Business Central web client. The tool is based on the Playwright concept and enables users to record actions such as opening pages and entering data, and replay them. Users can save and share the recordings for future playback. The tool requires specific permission sets assigned to users. It provides features like deleting recorded steps, adding conditional steps, and changing recorded values. The recordings can be saved as YAML files and played back in the web client. The tool is useful for creating user acceptance tests and training recordings.
