Failed deleting solution. Solution dependencies exist, cannot uninstall / Remove unmanaged layer– Dynamics 365 / Dataverse

Recently, while trying to delete a managed solution from one of our environments, we encountered an error stating that solution dependencies exist and cannot be uninstalled. To resolve this, we clicked on "View Dependencies" and then "See solution layers" to identify the dependency. We found that the Active Contacts had a dependency on a custom column in the unmanaged layer. We clicked on "Remove active customizations" to delete the unmanaged customization and then successfully deleted the managed solution. For more details, you can visit the link provided.
