Simplifying License Management for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations: Improved User License Validation


Starting April 30th, administrators will have access to license usage reporting for Dynamics 365, showing seats available and assigned. Users without assigned licenses will receive in-product notifications to contact their administrator. Beginning August 30th, users will require an assigned license to access Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations applications. Customers are encouraged to review and assign licenses in advance to avoid disruptions. Enhanced license reporting will be available in the Power Platform admin center, providing comprehensive insights into license usage. Centralized license assignment will be required through the Microsoft 365 admin center for certain applications. Microsoft is committed to simplifying administrative processes and enhancing the overall licensing experience.
