How to send Planner task reminder with Power Automate


Power Automate can be used to send custom reminders for Planner tasks near their due date. While Planner does have some default reminders, it doesn't offer options for additional reminders. To create custom reminders, you can use Power Automate. Start by setting up a recurrence trigger to send reminders daily. Then, list all the tasks using the "List tasks" action. Use the "Filter array" action to filter out only the relevant tasks based on conditions such as tasks in a specific bucket, open tasks, and tasks due in a certain number of days. Once you have filtered the tasks, you can process them as needed, such as creating a table with an overview of tasks or sending reminders to each assignee.
