MS Fabric with bc2adls – Performance

The author tested the performance of exporting data from Business Central to Microsoft Fabric using bc2adls. The initial export took around 2-17 minutes for different tables, but subsequent exports with new and modified records took only 9-11 minutes. The Notebook transformed the .csv files into a lakehouse delta table, which took only 4 minutes and 54 seconds in the first run. The author used an on-premise VM machine for testing, and some partners reported faster performance on Business Central Online environment. Overall, the performance was impressive compared to Azure Synapse, which took almost 7 minutes per entity to complete the task.
