Virtual PCFs with Fluent UI 9 after GA

Virtual Components, which allow developers to use React and Fluent UI from the platform libraries without including them in their own bundle, are now generally available. These components have been in preview since April 2022 and have been widely used in production. However, they are still not supported in Power Pages. The supported versions of the libraries have also been updated, with React 16.8.6 no longer listed. The manifest version is not the version the PCF will be using in the environment, and the table in the documentation shows the currently used versions. Existing projects using Fluent UI 9 can still be used, but they need to be rebuilt and updated to the latest versions of the packages.
