Copy and Paste in Power Automate Classic vs New UI
Copy and paste functionality in Power Automate's classic UI allows users to duplicate actions within their flows by using a clipboard preview feature. This feature has been experimental since 2019 and is not recommended for use in production. The classic UI supports copying multiple actions to the clipboard simultaneously, and pasting them in parallel branches or scopes, though it may encounter issues with switch actions. The new Power Automate UI streamlines action clones by offering a right-click copy function, allowing only the latest action copied to be pasted. Both interfaces permit copying of actions into external editors, providing JSON format code for ease of modification. The new UI offers a cleaner experience but limits pasted actions to the most recent, simplifying some functions.
