The latest update to Dataverse allows for easier import of data from CSV files using the OPENROWSET (BULK) SQL syntax, enabling efficient integration of external data into your Dataverse environment. Users can control how data is loaded through various options like FIRSTROW, ROWTERMINATOR, FIELDTERMINATOR, FIELDQUOTE, ESCAPECHAR, and CODEPAGE. Additionally, users can now get immediate feedback from queries as they execute, seeing results in the grid in real-time, which helps in identifying and addressing potential issues early. SQL 4 CDS has also introduced support for displaying query results as text and added implementations for several math functions such as ABS, SIGN, CEILING, FLOOR, and ROUND. The optionset metadata table now includes enhanced columns for statecode and statuscode, providing detailed information for custom state transitions. With these new features, users have improved flexibility and functionality for managing their data in Dataverse.
