Autonomous agents are AI-driven agents that can automate business processes without constant human supervision. They can make decisions and complete tasks on their own. Autonomous agents can be compared to an assembly line, where each station is dedicated to a specific task. Organizations can have multiple autonomous agents that handle different processes. During the preview, there are 51 triggers available for autonomous agents. The article provides a scenario of creating an autonomous agent for the onboarding process of new customers. The agent is triggered when an email with a specific subject line is received. Power Automate flows are used as actions to extract information from the email and create a new account record in Dataverse. The article also explains how to configure the agent in Copilot Studio.
