Dynamics 365 Business Central: Query objects, AppSourceCop and breaking changes.
The AppSourceCop code analyzer is mandatory when developing Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions for AppSource. It enforces rules that must be respected by extensions meant to be published to Microsoft AppSource. AppSourceCop can detect breaking changes between different versions of an extension, but it currently does not detect breaking changes on query objects. Removing a field on a query object is a breaking change, so developers should be aware of this. The author has submitted an idea to fix this issue.
