Power Platform administrators have often complained about the lack of ability to apply policies to multiple environments. However, Microsoft has now introduced Environment Grouping, which allows administrators to set and configure policies for multiple environments at once. Currently, there are six options available for administrators to configure, but more functionality is expected to be added in the future. Environment Grouping is a feature of Managed Environments, and only environments that are set as "Managed" can be added to an Environment Group. The purpose of Environment Grouping is to minimize the time spent on setting up and applying policies by grouping environments together. This feature is beneficial for organizations with different personas and business units that require different policies. Environment Grouping also includes the ability to use Environment Routing for automatically assigning new developer environments to specific groups.
