Audit Dynamics 365 Business Central operations in Microsoft Purview: what is it?
Microsoft has announced upcoming new features for Dynamics 365 Business Central in the 2024 Wave 1 release. One of the features causing confusion is the ability to emit auditable events to Microsoft Purview, a data governance platform. Microsoft Purview is not a monitoring tool like Azure Monitor, but it provides organizations with a platform for governing and securing data. The auditing capability in Microsoft Purview allows organizations to effectively respond to security events, investigations, and compliance obligations. This integration will provide a legally compliant auditing feature for Dynamics 365 Business Central, allowing all audit logs to be centralized in one platform. This feature will be available starting in May.
