How to Use the Live Chat Widget 2.0 in Customer Service Workspace


The Customer Service workspace (CSw) in Dynamics 365 has a new upgraded live chat widget (LCW) called LCW 2.0. This new widget offers deeper customization functionality, allowing companies to fully reflect their branding by styling the widget accordingly. To use and customize the LCW 2.0, users need to create a new chat channel in the Customer Service admin center app. The widget code can then be copied and added to an HTML file for customization. Users can customize various aspects of the widget, including the header, footer, colors, size, and position. The LCW 2.0 offers extensive customization options, and Microsoft has provided samples on GitHub for further guidance. This upgrade helps make the widget look less generic and more integrated into an organization's site.
