Update Modified On (modifiedon) date of existing records – Dynamics 365 / Dataverse

Recently, there was a requirement to update the "modifiedon" date of certain records in the notes table. This was achieved by implementing an update plugin on preoperation. The plugin was triggered on the update of the langid attribute using the XrmToolBox Plugin - Bulk Data Updater. This ensured that the plugin was only triggered when explicitly triggered from the Bulk Data Updater for that field. The plugin step was then disabled.
