Switching Between The Advanced Settings Experience

There is a new "experience" when accessing the Advanced Settings for a Dataverse/D365 environment. This post explains how to switch between the old and new experiences. The new experience is currently a preview feature but may become the default in the future. The Advanced Settings section allows for setting up specific types of records, changing global settings, and managing data. The old experience is accessed from the gear icon, while the new experience opens in a new model-driven app called the Power Platform Environment Settings app. The specific experience that opens depends on a setting in the Power Platform admin center. The new experience provides most of the same functionality and is only accessible to System Administrators and System Customizers.
