Recently, two new features were introduced to dataverse that allow for better management of customer addresses. The customer addresses for accounts, contacts, and leads are stored in a special table called customeraddress. By default, each account has 2 customer addresses, each contact has 3 customer addresses, and each lead has 2 addresses. This can become an issue if there are many empty records, as they still take up storage space. The new features address this by only creating customeraddress records when there is actual information to be stored and allowing for the removal of customeraddresses without removing the associated contact/account/lead. It is important to make a backup before making any changes.
