Removing Issues With Mobile Phone Numbers On Realtime Forms


Capturing mobile phone numbers on Realtime Marketing forms in Customer Insights - Journeys (D365 Marketing) can present challenges. By default, the validation message for the mobile phone number field is not informative, making it difficult for users to understand the required format. Even with the validation on, there can be issues with Contact Point Consent records not being created or updated correctly. To address these issues, it is recommended to customize the validation for the mobile phone number field and provide more informative error messages. This can be done by adding a plus symbol as the default value for the field, removing spaces from the entered number, and using a regular expression for validation. By making these changes, the mobile phone number will be saved correctly on the Lead or Contact record and will match the Contact Point Consent record.
