Dynamics 365 Business Central will soon offer new sustainability features to help organizations track and report greenhouse gas emissions. The upcoming 2024 release wave 1 will introduce sustainability journals and a Chart of Sustainability Accounts to facilitate the collection and analysis of emission data. Users will be able to manually enter data or use built-in calculation methods to calculate emissions. The Chart of Sustainability Accounts will categorize and organize emissions data based on attributes such as scope. Sustainability Journals will track and record sustainability-related activities and metrics, while Sustainability Entries will organize the data recorded in the Sustainability Ledger. Microsoft plans to continue enhancing these features and expanding their capabilities in future releases.
