Copilot Studio Governance
Copilot Studio is a low-code chatbot creation platform that recently rebranded from Power Virtual Agents. It offers core capabilities such as designing conversational flows, integration with Power Automate, and support for various channels and authentication methods. It also includes generative AI features like generative answers, AI-based copilot authoring, generative actions and plugins, and M365 copilot conversational plugins. There are two types of licenses for Copilot Studio: a user license for bot creation and a tenant/capacity license for chat sessions or messages. Admins can enforce governance using Power Platform DLP Policies, which allow them to restrict certain Copilot Studio features and channels. However, it's important to note that blocking these options in a DLP Policy does not take effect by default and requires running a PowerShell script.
