Microsoft Updates Dynamics 365 License Pricing to Take Effect October 1st 2024
Microsoft has announced updated pricing for Dynamics 365 licensing, which will take effect on October 1st, 2024. The pricing includes an increase across the board. To lower license costs, it is recommended to remove unneeded roles assigned to users and remove over-provisioned role access causing a higher license level. It is also important to remove access at above Read level for 'Read only' or 'View only' security layers. There are ISV solutions available to help with reporting and analysis of licensing requirements. Licensing within Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (D365FO) is complex, so utilizing free resources or seeking additional help is recommended.
