Copilot has garnered significant attention in the Microsoft ecosystem, offering two distinct experiences within Microsoft 365: the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on and the free Copilot Chat. Though they appear similar, using them in real business scenarios, such as within a CRM, reveals their differences. Microsoft 365 Copilot integrates with Microsoft Graph, accessing organizational data like emails and CRM records, providing context-aware insights invaluable for sales, consulting, and customer service professionals. Meanwhile, Copilot Chat relies solely on user-provided prompts and is useful for writing and brainstorming. In a test within a CRM setting, Microsoft 365 Copilot provided a comprehensive context-based summary, while Copilot Chat was limited. For CRM professionals, understanding data spread across multiple systems is crucial, and Microsoft 365 Copilot excels at synthesizing this information for comprehensive understanding and faster decision-making.
