Dynamics 365 Business Central: using a static IP address to access APIs.

In Dynamics 365 Business Central projects, strict security requirements may necessitate a static IP address for third-party system integrations. To achieve this in a SaaS environment, Azure Service Tags can be used. If third-party systems cannot support Azure Service Tags, an Azure Function with a static IP address can act as a middle layer. By controlling Azure Functions outbound IP with an Azure virtual network NAT gateway, all traffic can flow through the NAT gateway using the assigned public IP address. This setup ensures that responses from Dynamics 365 Business Central APIs come from a static IP address, meeting security requirements.
