Anatomy of the Stripe payments in Power Pages
Microsoft has announced online payments with Stripe in Power Pages in preview. The integration allows users to set up payments using Stripe in Power Apps and Power Portals. The setup process involves installing the package from the Power Pages Studio, setting up the required keys for the Stripe integration, and creating a multistep form with a payment step. The integration involves the creation of a payment intent, which locks the payment values, and the user enters their credit card details. Successful payments update the payment record, while failed payments remain in the "Created" state. Webhooks are not fully implemented or clear in their usage. Overall, the integration is a good start, but there are areas for improvement, such as handling failed payments and storing the secret key securely.
