Exploring Trades and Trade Coverages in Dynamics 365 Field Service

Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Trades within its Dynamics 365 Field Service application. Trades allow organizations to efficiently group incident types and simplify the creation of work orders and services provided to customers. By using Trades along with Trade Coverage, unnecessary incident services can be prevented from being added to a work order. To enable Trades, users need to navigate to the Field Service Settings area and enable Trades and Trade Coverages. Users can then create records for both Trades and Trade Coverages. Trades can be associated with incident-type records, and when creating a work order, the associated trade will be populated from the incident type. Trades help ensure that only appropriate work order services are added and increase the accuracy of technicians.
