Dataverse “When an action is performed” trigger doesn’t fire – what to do

The author shares their experience with the "When an action is performed" trigger in Power Automate. They learned two lessons: 1) If you want to trigger a Power Automate flow by calling an action, you cannot use the "classic" action and must use a Custom API instead. 2) When creating a Custom API to trigger a Power Automate flow, make sure to set the "Allowed Custom Processing Step Type" to "Sync and Async" for it to appear in the list of available actions. The author provides screenshots and examples to illustrate their points.
