Segments in Customer Insights - Journeys: Consent, Purposes and Topics


Segments in Customer Insights - Journeys can be created based on marketing consent Opt In or Opt Out for a Contact or Lead. Marketing permissions in Customer Insights - Journeys are found in the 'Consent centre' and the 'Communication' tab of the Contact/Lead form. Consent is stored in 'contact point consent' rows in Dynamics 365, but 'Contact Point Consent' does not have a database relationship to Contact or leads. To create a segment using contact point consent, go to the 'Related tables' in the 'Attributes panel of the segment builder and select 'Topics and Purposes'. You can filter consent and purposes by 'Will Send' or 'Will not send' based on compliance profile and contact point status.
