Microsoft Azure Active Directory is becoming Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft is changing the name of Azure AD to Microsoft Entra ID to unify the product family. The name change will be completed by the end of 2023, and no action is needed from users. The standalone license names are also changing, with Azure AD Free becoming Microsoft Entra ID Free, Azure AD Premium P1 becoming Microsoft Entra ID P1, and Azure AD Premium P2 becoming Microsoft Entra ID P2. The product for customer identities, Azure AD External Identities, will become Microsoft Entra External ID. SKU and service plan name changes will take effect on October 1, 2023.
