Custom triggers in Dynamics 365 Marketing now have the ability to include 'Entity references', making them even more powerful. This allows marketers to include specific row references and all associated data in trigger journeys for branching and emails. For example, when a customer receives an order, a trigger can be set up to send them a survey for feedback. The 'Entity reference' attribute can be used to include the specific order row in Dataverse, making all the data available for personalization and conditional content. Setting up the trigger is easy, and the code snippet can be integrated into Power Automate to trigger the custom trigger using a HTTP POST request.
