Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 Wave 1 release: the state of SOAP deprecation.
Microsoft has announced that starting from Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 Wave 1 release (version 26), the deprecation of UI pages exposed as SOAP web services will begin. In version 26, the possibility to expose a Microsoft page as a SOAP endpoint will be disabled by default, but can still be re-enabled if needed. However, in version 29, the ability to expose a Microsoft page as a SOAP endpoint will be removed forever. Microsoft recommends moving to OData instead of using custom UI pages exposed as SOAP endpoints. Additionally, starting from version 26, a warning will be issued if a Microsoft UI page is exposed as an OData endpoint, and in version 30, this will no longer be possible.
