Self-Service Disaster Recovery for Power Platform and D365

Microsoft has introduced Self-Service Disaster Recovery for Power Platform as a public preview. This feature allows organizations to integrate disaster recovery steps into their business continuity plans and test recovery times against their documented objectives. Disaster recovery can only be enabled on production-type environments and managed environments must be enabled. During the public preview phase, it is recommended to only enable this capability on sandbox environments. The process of enabling disaster recovery takes approximately 48 hours, and after completion, the environment is ready for disaster recovery. A disaster recovery drill can be executed to test the failover process, and once completed, the environment can be switched back to the primary region.
