Microsoft has announced the general availability of "Block unmanaged customizations," a feature that allows Power Platform system administrators to prevent direct development in production environments. This feature blocks any unmanaged customizations and import of unmanaged solutions, ensuring that changes to the environment go through approved application lifecycle management (ALM) processes. It helps enforce predictability and consistency in solution deployments and prevents direct changes in the environment that bypass formal ALM processes. The feature can be enabled or disabled from the environment settings page in the Power Platform admin center. Some limitations apply, and certain operations are not blocked by this feature.
